Leaps and Bounds Special Needs Class Does your child have a special need? We've got the class for them. This class is designed for children who may need a little something extra during their gym class. Both students and parents will appreciate the fact that this class is taught during a quieter time during the gym. That will ensure all attention will be given to the skills being taught to your child and less distractions to catch their eye. Before your child's first class, the instructor will ask some questions regarding the needs of your child and what skills they need to work on. You will be asked to come in for your trial class where parent, instructor, and child participate and the instructor can get to know your child and what your child may need. A Parent handbook is available at the front desk with some necessary information we will need regarding your child's medical history, This is required for class participation. "Yes, I Can" is a parent participation class which means you get to join in on the fun. Every student in the program is Required to have a parent attend and participate with them in every class. We believe that having a parent involved in class will be an asset to the instructor and to your child. Instructors at LBSC in our "Yes, I Can" class are gentle , patient, and experienced in many special need areas. We encourage you to give our child and our class a chance to prove what can be accomplished together.
