Q. Can I drop my child(ren) off for classes?
A. Leaps & Bounds is NOT equipped to supervise children before or after classes (After School &
Day Camp excepted). Parents of children who
are unable to safely supervise themselves are to
stay ON SITE during their child's class. Leaps & Bounds makes concerted effort to prevent unauthorized persons from entering its facility, however it is impossible to distinguish a solo
adult intent on abducting your child from a
parent waiting for his or her child.

Q. Will you notify me to confirm my class choice?
A. No, Our practice is to phone only the few who
do not receive their first class choice. To help you remember which class you registered for, keep
your yellow copy of the registration form and remember, "no news is good news."

Q Why don't you phone Current Students to remind them that they missed the Priority Deadline?
A. Because it is not feasible. If you are concerned about forgetting the Priority Deadline, please consider our two payment alternatives: Pay-In-Advance or Credit Card On File.

Q. What is the annual Family Administrative Fee for?
A. To encourage consistency in attendance over the year. The benefits of any educational program comes from long term involvement and our choice to charge an annual administrative fee rather than slightly increasing tuition over the year is to encourage consistency. It may help to remind readers that some

industries such as martial arts and health clubs opt for yearly contracts while others such as academic schools and some dance schools opt for semester payments. Our 'soft' approach stills allows in/out flexibility for those families who need it for one reason or another.

Q. Why are some Terms 10 weeks in length while others are 9, yet tuition remains level?
A. For the same reason rent, auto and mortgage payments remain level even though months range from 28-31 days-to avoid confusions and administrative costs of notifying the public of price changes. After carefully considering the year-to-year vagaries of the international calendar, its holidays, the differences in school systems and the cycles of community sports programs there are 47 or 48 available weeks, depending on the year. Leaps & Bounds then determines its operational costs for the year and budgets revenue needed based on 5 Terms, averaging 9.5 weeks in length.

Q. Do you offer make ups?
A. We offer make ups in programs where doing so does not jeopardize safety or integrity of the class.

In the event your first class choice is not available, your entire payment will be credited or refunded. For refund procedures under other circumstances see Dropping, Changing Classes After a Term Begins below.

REGISTER AND PAY:

FORMS OF PAYMENT:
Check, cash, Master Card, Visa, and Discover.

WORRIED ABOUT FORGETTING:
We do send home an invoice for the next session before the priority deadline but it remains your responsibility to pay before the Priority Deadline in order to maintain your place in class (see Calendar of Terms, page 4). If you are concerned about forgetting the Priority Deadline please consider Pay-In-Advance or Credit Card On File (see below).
Pay-In-Advance: Simply pay for multiple TERMS in advance and lock-in your priority STATUS for up to the entire school year. In the event your personal schedule changes and you cannot fulfill the obligation for which you have paid, notify us in writing BEFORE the start of the Term and your money will be refunded within 14 days. Not available for Summer Flexi-Schedule.
Credit Card On File: We will securely keep your credit card on file and automatically charge tuition against it each term until you notify us otherwise. Change request must be made in accordance with all regular procedures. Not available for Summer Flexi-Schedule.

$35 ANNUAL FAMILY ADMINISTRATION FEE:
The $35 per family fee is due upon initial registration and on your anniversary date, thereafter. This fee defrays Leaps & Bounds' administrative cost and bestows Previous Student status to any immediate family member of a Current Student.

RETURNED CHECKS:
In the event your check is returned as NSF your checking account, an automatic $30 will be added to the payment due. The payment + NSF fee must be made with cash or cashier's check. Repetitive returned checks will revoke your check writing privilege here at Leaps & Bounds.

Dropping, Changing Classes After a Term Begins

JOINING: No Problem…tuition will be PRORATED, relative to your start date.

CHANGING
class within the SAME program: We will gladly accommodate class changes requests within the SAME PROGRAM as long as a vacancy exists.
CHANGING from one program to another is considered Dropping. See below.

DROPPING:
No refunds or credits will be given for dropping a class. Once a term has commenced, you are in the class for the entire term, regardless of attendance, except for Medical conditions (see below).

MEDICAL:
For medical conditions validated by a physician's statement, a family credit will be issued with the prorated amount based upon the date Leaps & Bounds RECEIVES THE WRITTEN STATEMENT (retroactive requests cannot be granted, as it eliminates Leaps & Bounds opportunity to fill the vacated class spot). Upon request, a Leaps & Bounds check will be issued within 14 days.

SUMMER FLEXI-SCHEDULE:
To accommodate your family's summer vacation schedule, we are proud to offer Summer Flexi-Schedule. Simply pay tuition on the number of weeks you will be in town. It is NOT necessary to attend consecutive weeks to take advantage of Flexi-Schedule. In a word, flexible!

Student Status

NEW STUDENTS: Register anytime, in fact, as soon as possible. (Disregard the Priority Deadline which applies only to Current and Previous Students). Upon receipt, New Student registrations are dated and placed in the Holding File. After the Priority Deadline passes, the Holding File is opened and New Students are placed in class based on their dated order. Assume your 1st class choice has been accepted, as Leaps & Bounds will NOT contact you unless there is a difficulty supplying your 1st class choice. Remember, "no news is good news." Please keep your YELLOW COPY of the registration form as a record of your class choices.

CURRENT STUDENTS: Leaps & Bounds' tuition payment procedure is similar to many colleges. Current Students have priority over New Students if tuition is paid on or before the Priority Deadline. If a Current Student fails to pay tuition by the Priority Deadline, priority is forfeited and New Students or Previous Students are placed in class. Note that Current Students must request class changes before the Priority Deadline in order to have priority.

PREVIOUS STUDENTS: Previous Students are given priority over New Students BUT ONLY IF the registration is received before the Priority Deadline. Previous Students status is extended to all immediate family members of any family who is current with their $35 Annual Family Administrative Fee.

Calendar of Terms

5 TERMS PER YEAR: Leaps & Bounds molds the year into 5 terms after carefully considering the vagaries of the calendar, the many local school systems we serve, community sports programs, holidays.

PRIORITY DEADLINE: This is the deadline by which Current Students must pay tuition or forfeit their priority over New or Previous Students. Families who would rather not worry about the Priority Deadline should consider Pay-In-Advance or Credit Card On File.
